Pretty surprising, pleasantly fruity. Quetsche, apple, wood, spices, quite lively. Some exotic fruits (passion, pineapple)
Rather vegetable, on Calvados, wood, traces of cinnamon. Pepper. Slightly creamy texture.
Long finish for 43%, lots of pepper, a little heavy, lots of wood. A little passion fruit.
pickles, fresh grass, citrus, vinegar, ginger, glue, caster sugar, ripe kiwi
grass, sweet, chemical, wood, ginger, wood tones, licorice, mint, almond
- strange!! comparing, far from the "normal" criteria, yes but otherwise, pleasant surprise, a little too simple at the level of flavors, but interesting typicity, notation because of the singularity!
rustic grain, alcoholic youth, then fruity variation around vanilla and lemon!
glue the almond, then seeds ... buckwheat, if, if, a little back woody
wood, yellow fruits (lemon and peach!), short to medium
- Clear non-Scot, this floral-perfumed-waxy-artificial touch is just strong enough to make it idiosyncratic and recognizable, without being obtrusive or deterring, buckwheat whiskey is something different and quite drinkable to delicious. The price (68 €) of course includes some exotics and rarities surcharge.
sweet, vanilla, honey, and clear floral and perfume notes and wax, which makes it very idiosyncratic and recognizable, this anise and a touch of ginger
soft and round, honey, milk chocolate, hazelnut cream ... a touch of black cherries ... or currants? ... plus some "strange spice", nutmeg, ginger again ?, an artificially waxy note and licorice
medium long, dry, liquorice
- (100% black wheat) deep gold color, fruity nose, marked by citrus, lemon, and yellow fruit, cereals. Mouth a little less fruity, more marked by cereals, (we feel that we are not on barley but on black wheat that reminds me of the rye (rye) American) honey, sweet and a little thick. Average length. A nice surprise, nice whiskey and quite original.
