Much like the nose, tiniest bit of heat.
    • Finish
      77 77
Dry, much like the palate. Pretty long, especially for its ABV.

I also had that from a set. Honestly, I took a biased line. He has everything that should not be. 40% / color / filter etc. But, I'm pleasantly surprised and now I would say in terms of price performance, he does not need to hide. AND: He has an age.
    • Nose
      81 81
Smells very malty sweet towards honey breakfast.
I'm surprised how pleasant it comes on the nose. He even comes a little bit flowery. Respect.
    • Taste
      82 82
Wow, distillery comes through immediately and remains spicy on the palate. Not bad Mister Specht. Salty and bitter dissolve. Mouth remains occupied with some lemon and mild apple / pear (Helene sends greetings) Fully OK.
    • Finish
      80 80
Actually medium to long and tenderly bitter but not unpleasant. The sweetness comes back quickly and combines pleasantly with this bitter note. Could be good with your meal.

  7. Lumpowitz scored this whisky 78 points Expert Junior

    • Nose
Bitter orange, nutmeg and other spices, cut flowers, a little vanilla.
    • Taste
Fruity orange, aperol, malt, a hint of smoke. Very mild and restrained, not very complex.
    • Finish
Short to medium length with tart citrus fruit and some spice.

A classic Speysider, as it is in the book. Gorgeous seasoning. Deductions are in the finish, which otherwise can actually keep up well, due to the very disturbing sulfur note.
    • Nose
sweet, delicately smoky, fruity with a touch of exoticism, banana, a good portion of vanilla, a little soft oak with caramel notes, then the fine spiciness of sandalwood, malt and bread, beeswax, flower meadow, hints of sugared lemon jelly, orange, honeydew melon and gooseberry , semi-acidic apples, looks dusty
    • Taste
soft, initially slightly sweet with a dash of vanilla, then rather neutral, pleasant bitterness of cocoa, a lot of malt, white oak, again subtle (cigarette) smoke, some caramel, then come with sandalwood and cinnamon spicy and intense components, plus a pinch ground ginger, galia melon and guava, raisins and orange, flowery, ripe apples
    • Finish
dry-citrusy, slightly bitter chocolate and spicy, barley malt, hay, more subtle smoke, sulphurous notes, hazelnut, plum jam at the end

    • Nose
fresh and fruity - green apple, fresh grass
    • Taste
Sherry, honey, melon, pleasantly soft, spicy
    • Finish
pleasant long finish, sweet to caramel and slightly spicy, spicy

    Flawless classic
    entry level malt.
    • Nose
      Honeysweet and spicy
nose. Candied fruit, nuts, apples and caramel. Sweet butter. Honey. Floral.
Rosemary and heather. Breakfast cereals. Not much else. Far from bad, but
      rather simple.
    • Taste
      Oily on the palate. Oranges
dominate, supported by sweet malt, spices, roasted nuts and hay. Vanilla steps
in to replace the caramel. Mildly drying.
    • Finish
      The finish is short
and grainy with a hint of chocolate.
