Deliciously fresh, you wouldn't say it's that old! It smells quite thick, malty and juicy. Danish pastry, creamy vanilla, pineapple, lemon and apricot. Behind this all, there is a restrained note of grass.
Deliciously full attack, rather sweet, thick and creamy, with a slight shift to a juicy and dry finale. It's in the same league as on the nose, although is the pineapple joined by juicy peach, and the malt is more honeyed. It fits perfectly well to the creamy part. Towards the end, some lemon zest and pepper join and deliver fresh bitterness.
Quite long, it keeps on returning with nice sour tones of fruit and lemon zest. Next to that, pepper and creamy, pastry-like malt.
For a 36 year old, this is a very lively, fresh and fruity whisky. Not the most complex, but very tasty.
