  1. larswehmeier scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

Very tasty and pleasing. A little bit complex for its age and price. But definitely delicious.
    • Nose
Christmas. Grape. Cinammon. Walnut. A lot of pressure on the nose, especially because of the low alcohol content.
With a few drops of water, it reveals a bit of oak.
    • Taste
Mild, creamy. Pleasant oak tannins and tobacco. Raisins.
It becomes even sweeter with water and shows a lot of caramel.
    • Finish
Warming, mild. Medium length. Stay cute.

Too short, lots of caramel and chocolate, a bit of wood and pepper, dried fruit

Very pleasant and also sufficiently complex malt. Nothing for in between, it takes time. Somehow wonderfully sweet and, despite the variety of aromas, very tasty. Great thing!

Very sweet and fruity beginning. Is relatively soft and pleasant on the nose. First cocoa, wood, roasted coffee beans. Then everything goes a bit in the direction of rum-grapes-nut-chocolate. Spices of cinnamon and cloves emphasize this again. Grapes, plums, oranges and red berries bring the fruity elements with them. In the background there are also more nuts, almonds and more chocolaty notes.

The palate is also rather mild and creamy for me. Light oak spice that causes a pleasant tingle. Very chocolaty. In addition, intense fruit and sweetness. Caramelized popcorn with vanilla tobacco is added. In addition, the fruity notes of raisins, figs, oranges. Everything fits together harmoniously. Tobacco and the increasingly dark cocoa note. Fits!

Medium-length finish, spiciness, wood, sweetness with a hint of creamy chocolate.

Fair bottling The Village Nuremberg. Very nice whisky, both in smell and in taste. Only the finish was a bit too short for me.

The Messedram was very promising, but didn't get enough attention from me. There's sure to be a lot more flavors out there.

Sweet, tangy and by no means decrepit.
Great braeval spirit and in a sherry cask for over 20 years, almost nothing can go wrong.
Very Christmassy pastry notes and heavy sherry impact. I think it goes in the direction of GD Parliament. Just not quite as sweet, more earthy and slightly herbal. Stop Braeval?!
The sample was empty too quickly for more detailed notes...

Very sweet and barrel-heavy, you have to feel like it, and for that the price was 30-40 € too high for me. On the other hand: if it said "Glendronach SC" (there are also some bottlings of this type), the triple price would be called ...

I tried this at the Whisky Spring at Castle Schwetzingen September 17th 2021 and immediately had to get 3 bottles, it‘s just absolutely fabulous stuff, dangerously quaffable with an addictive PX exposure you don’t find often and the perfect follow up to last year‘s Sherry masterpiece 26yo Glen Keith TWC WID 149232 which has mysteriously vanished without a trace with only a handful bottles listed here. For me this bottling was the highlight of the Whisky Spring which you could actually buy.
