1752) Old Forester, 1920, Prohibition Style, 115 Proof, Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Louisville
    • Nose
N- Emulate the style of distillate during the Prohibition era, as they are only a few that were given the license to distill during the 13 years of bootlegging period in cowboy history. Initial breaths of nail polish, and feint-y. Get behind it found the boiling hot steamy soup of vanilla and maple honey, thicken to tantalizing sweetness, and raisin brown bread. Tiger balm pepperiness that soothes, rather than burns which were good for the nose. A hint of grassy youth and sweet hawthorn. (87/21)
    • Taste
P- Powerful mouth coat, hot and dry, rich caramel, palm sugar, with sourish tart dried fruits. Proportionally oak-ed at the right measure, and letting the sweet distillates speak. (86/20)
    • Finish
F- Long, neatly sawn timber, tiny wood dust. Manhattan soaked maraschino. Rightfully hot at 57.5%. Sipping goodies and pleasantly chewable. (87/21)

    NOSE
Oak, caramel, roasted nuts, vanilla pudding, copper, corn bread, honey, dried dark fruit and some baking spice.

This is what I’m talking about, this is Old Forester bourbon.

    PALATE
Oak, caramel, roasted nuts, vanilla pudding, copper, corn bread, honey, dried dark fruit and some baking spice and farmy notes.

Carbon copy of the aroma with a slight addition of some grainy/farmy notes peeking through towards the end.

    FINISH
Long -> Oak, cocoa, baking spice, dried dark fruit and copper fades dryly to a grainy/farmy quality.
