The bourbon barrel delivers beautiful vanilla and honey aromas, the fruit notes contribute to a successful whisky.

Starts with a beautiful fruit mix of banana, apricot and peach, which is highlighted by spicy honey and bourbon vanilla. A freshly mown meadow with a high proportion of wild herbs, some thyme and rosemary. The initially present alcohol has now evaporated, so that the aromas can now fully develop.
    • Taste
      86 86
Creamy start with fine pepper spice. Banana puree, dried apricots, presented on a piece of oak wood. Vanilla, pine honey, some malt. A bag of herbs, plus the pepper from the beginning, as well as thyme and marjoram.
    • Finish
      85 85
Dry, spicy and of medium length, it says goodbye with remnants of fruit notes, vanilla, hazelnuts and pepper.

A flawless firing and neat casks result in a lively malt with a pleasant combination of fruit, vanilla, pastry notes and savory herbs. Delicious!
    • Nose
Light and very delicate in smell, sweetened pear halves from the tin, a hint of ice candy, other yellow fruity accents attract attention, quince, not yet ripe mirabelle plum, also bananas with a little green hint, the very clean barley has a grassy-fresh side to it , juicy lawn clippings, sour fruit gums in the direction of "Haribo peaches", restrained toasted oak in a very mild form, vanilla and sponge cake, in the background there are a few fresh garden herbs, some chopped parsley, plus a little tarragon and sorrel, minimal wintergreen
    • Taste
With a lively mouthfeel, the juicy barley puts in a lot of effort, the fruit follows, crunchy pear and firm banana, a dab of quince jelly, also peaches and a few mirabelle plums, apricots on sponge cake, this fruity-grainy dance is accompanied by a A sparkling amount of pepper, milk chocolate and almonds with skins introduce the toasted oak, which is now much more present in comparison to the smell, decent vanilla, chewed meadowsweet root in the background, tarragon and savory, parsley
    • Finish
Rather short finish, malty barley, almonds, only a little of the lovely fruit aromas are left, instead there are now the slightly tannic plum and pear peels, but a gentle hint of peach in combination with vanilla wafts past, the somewhat tart and peppery herbal notes persist with dry oak

in a creamy, fruity-fresh bourbon barrel-aged whisky with floral influences, which I really like.
    • Nose
Fresh with vanilla, honey, light fruit jelly, quince and pear.
    • Taste
It is sweet, a gentle tingle with lots of vanilla, ginger and very creamy in the mouth.
    • Finish
Subtle grapefruit, somewhat reminiscent of white wine punch with fruit. In addition, vanilla again, large bouquets of flowers, some overripe fruit and quince jelly. A nice oily mouthfeel sets in.

Linkwood on the nose has a lot of banana and pears. Juicy pears. A bit of vanilla. Not very complex, but nicely intense and very, very pleasent.
Taste: pepper spicy, but not harsh. Still pleasent, but I expected sth else- more sweetness.
Finish: medium long, dry. Spicy, oaky, herbal. After second sip fruits come back - this is nice!
It’s my first Morrison and first Linkwood. And I am pretty sure not last one.
