Smell: Alcohol present, pine cones, eucalyptus, according to Enziannote, lemon balm spirit, including cinnamon and caramelized, brown sugar, with a few drops of water German. Wood sweetness, vanilla, toffee, not exactly overly complex ...

Taste: first of all alcohol very present on the palate, German. Spicy wood, roasted hazelnuts, again cinnamon, earthy notes, medium. until long reverberation, again carried by alcohol and wood ...

Color: brightening copper tone, medium Water's edge, of course

Conclusion: It already has something Christmassy, and a few drops of water "catch" the alcohol nicely, the large bottle still doesn't have to be ...

    A very well blended Scotia!
    • Nose
      87 87
Sweet, fruity, dried red fruits and a clear message of the oloroso casks.
    • Taste
      88 88
Sweet arrival, nice thick and oily. Heavy on the dried fruit and leather polish side.
    • Finish
      88 88
Long length. A bit dusty, but taken over quickly with sweet red fruit notes from the sherry cask.

Still very interesting on the nose with a good mix of fruity and spicy influences. Almost not to be enjoyed undiluted on the palate with poorly integrated alcohol. In addition, little complexity and too much bitterness. Not really convincing in the overall result.
    • Nose
      84 84
Stormy, almost aggressive start with pear, orange, spices, roasted aromas, pine resin and a bit of sweetness. Stinging alcohol. Add coconut and vanilla with water.
    • Taste
      82 82
First a soft start, then quickly burning from the alcohol. Sweetness and flavor, dark fruits.
    • Finish
      82 82
Medium-long finish that occupies the mouth with dark fruit, oak, plenty of bitterness and burning alcohol.

  10. Bene37 scored this whisky 79 points Expert Junior

Nose: fermented pear, milk coffee with brown sugar, flowery, a few raisins, some cinnamon and anise, slightly nutty

Palate: creamy and sweet and sour, milk coffee, raisins, a little pear, a pinch of cinnamon, perfume note

Finish: medium-long, tart, fermented pear, some milk coffee, some anise

Evaluation: somehow unbalanced and all over the place - not mine. It doesn't really go together: sweetness and acidity, coffee with milk, fermented pear, a little aniseed and cinnamon. He doesn't like to convince me. 79/100 or 4/10 (almost 3/10)
