Lovely nose with mineral notes, either lemon or unripe lime, phenolic notes, medicinal notes, not much peat really, just really fresh. On the palate this stuff is pretty delicate, that said the peat hits and its very nice. Ashy, Caol Ila like ashy, honey, a bit of apricot or other yellow fruit shines through. In the end some salt hits. Finish is nice and ashy, turns into more traditional Ardbeg peat, salty, medium long and stays on the tongue. Really like it. Too bad its only a sample.
