    Ginger, toffee, orange, ripe fruits, pepper, chocolate, vanilla. Savoury arrival, which turns sweet and sour. Touch of salinity. Youthful. A little dirty, in a good way. Lovely mouthfeel. Wow, this is really good.

    fruity on the nose with a slight sweetness. In the taste full spiciness of pepperiness / chilli on the tongue ... if you like it.
    Somehow he has a "dirty" character and reminds a little of Springbank .... oh dear, the next hype.
    [86 - 82 = good whisky -> get (second) bottle? Maybe...]

      initially fruity, slightly sweet apple, peach and pear, then a light smoky note from a charred barrel comes along with me.
      It makes it look kind of "dirty", and it reminds me of Springbank.
      Powdered sugar, toffee and a light vanilla aroma are added. Slightly spicy nutmeg and a little pepper in the background.

      initially creamy-viscous mouthfeel. Hui, then the pepper with a chilli heat on the tongue; I would not have expected from 46.8%.
      Here, too, the "dirty" somehow reminds of Springbank.
      Second sip: much more pleasant, more spice from cinnamon and nutmeg come through, the fruits are also slightly more noticeable. But the malt burns down my esophagus, which you couldn't expect.
      Phew, the sharpness is there again - whoever is on it can access it here, but a sample is enough for me for now.
      This - for me - youthful sharpness is nothing I look for in a whisky; but everyone has to decide for themselves.
    • Finish
      80 80
      very short finish. There might be a bit of fruit left over, but that's about it.
      Light hazelnut moments in the late finish on the tongue and on the palate. Still rather unspectacular for me.

    Wonderful captivating aroma: banana, toffee, berries and light vanilla. One of the best of it's kind. Tastes stronger than abv indicates. Cinnamon, raspberry, salty toffee. Well balanced taste. Superb!

    If you want to know why Ardnamurchan is my pick of the new wave of distilleries such as Torabhaig and Nc'nean just try this release. For £45 it’s an easy buy. 8/10
