    Extremely nutty with lots of caramel and toffee, plus wonderfully sweet dried fruits. A relatively young Ben Nevis, with a finish in a 1st Fill Oloroso Sherry Octave ... Guaranteed, one or the other connoisseur will see this malt due to its young age and an octave finish with critical eyes, I personally taste and like this young Nevis good!
    • Nose
      Sweet, dried grapes and berries rise, hazelnuts play with slightly smoky toffee and caramel, hints of raisins in rum, sweet and fruity with a spicy wooden base note. Whole milk chocolate grated, the fruity sweetness increases noticeably, the alcohol is surprisingly mild.
    • Taste
      Sweet fruit aromas flash, then spicy and tart wood tones clothe the palate with cozy warmth. A second sip is creamy, roasted hazelnuts play with sweet dried fruits, raisins melt sweetly on the tongue while caramel, toffee and milk chocolate melt together. Once again, there is a smoky undertone, the mouthfeel becomes noticeably smokier and dirtier. Hazelnuts swim creamy in the stimulated saliva under the tongue, the creamy caramel intensifies, a pinch of salt is added.
    • Finish
      Mild and creamy, sweet and subtly smoky with tart wood spices. The mouthfeel is incredibly creamy and greasy. With dried grapes and berries, the aftertaste gradually fades and leaves a creamy sweetness with ground hazelnuts on the tongue.

    The nose is initially reserved: slightly biting, a little brown sugar, a little malt. Over time, herbs are added; maybe woodruff and mint (83). On the palate there are oak spices and fruits that have been stored over the winter. There is also alcohol involved, but quite well integrated after the first, short shot. The texture is slightly creamy (81). The finish includes crème brûlée, dark fruits and oak spice (81).
