N: at first, it is not closed, it is sealed. Slowly, the wood emerges; overcome a first note a little rancid (type too mature grapes, and it is a euphemism), here is to open a world of voluptuousness. Chocolate, fruity, indeed: sachertorte. Then, many red fruits (a red fruit salad, with blackberry in the foreground); vanilla, cooked fruit (better, plum and cinnamon). With water, the profile does not change but opens a lot: the nose is almost a note of slight smoking; tamarind, orange jam, hazelnut chocolate.

P: gentlemen, full sherry monster. Flavors of flavor, even if without water it is a little alcoholic. Legnosissimo. Spectacular red fruits (but overlaid by the wood, sometimes ... sometimes you want to check if there are any shavings in the dram); there is also a sense of 'stale', of certain dense sauces for meat. Beyond this, overall it is very sweet: cooked fruit, still, dried fruit. Water makes it even sweeter (plums and sugar, hazelnut), but towards the end it tends to appear a little.

F: infinite. Dark chocolate with red fruits. Spicy wood, cinnamon.

In spite of all the words we have spent, it is not a particularly complex whisky: it is all barreled, we cannot say we have recognized the "typical nuances of Glengoyne" (assuming that we can never distinguish them ...). It is striking that in just 13 years the barrel has given so much ... Probably, had it been in there longer, it would not have come to be bottled.
