Rightly so, because this bottling is just like the V13-02 awesome, for everyone (like me) who love sherry malts ala Glendronach, old Macallan etc. :-)
Heavy fruitiness, raisins, prunes, something spicy from the oriental bazaar, dates, banana, mandarin orange, old leather armchairs, all of this immediately comes to mind, just in the nose.
On the tongue, the complex, oily fruitiness and a spicy wood note dominate, along with rich dark chocolate and toffee.
Wonderful! Certainly not undervalued for 109 EUR, but definitely worth the money, 3 EUR per dram for a really fantastic 8 year old malt from the Octave. Guys, what more could you want.
