Colour - Primrose yellow
Body - Fresh as a June morning on Islay West Coast. Beautiful texture that lingers long after the glass is empty.
Aromas & Flavours - Opens on lemon and honey drizzled over warm malted Barley leading onto an exceedingly pleasant Papaya, honeysuckle floral estuary combination. Then the mellow oaky sweetness drifts in bringing with it the spiciness of Bourbon and the toasted oak sugars from its previous life.
Its super fresh and the slow distillation has provided the malted barley crispness which harmonises beautifully with non-coloured, non chill filtered spirit giving a mouthfeel that is fresh and uplifting. The taste receptors are in Heaven enjoying the natural flavour without a drift of peat smoke. This is Islay in August. The whole Island overture is in your hand, inhale deeply, sip slowly, close your eyes and come to the West Coast where the Atlantic meets the shore!
The finish is long and lingering thanks to the viscosity of the non chill filtered spirit.
