Notes of a very nice tasting…

Nose

Colour:
light straw

Nose:
Pear skins, dry wood, gooseberries, Mirabelle plums, dry vanilla sweetness, tangerines, cereals, a hint of liquorice

Taste

Powerful start. Dry with a good bit of tingling. Then dried, light fruit aroma.
Significantly fruitier with a little water. The dry wood is preserved. In addition, a spring-like freshness. Vanilla and somehow grainy.

Finish

medium length Becomes a little creamy towards the end. The spice is retained. The dryness remains.

A summer fresh Benrinnes. My picture of the Benrinnes is the classic Flora & Fauna bottling from DIAGEO. Our bottling shows Benrinnes in a surprisingly flowery and refreshing version.
The nose: The first aromas that reach the nose are something of floral - summer lilac, scented geranium and a hint of lime zest.
Pure it is very refreshing, has almost cool straight notes. However, the summer Benrinnes only really blooms when you give it a little water. Then a little malt and full-bodied sweetness are added to the fine floral potpouri, with a cheeky peppery finish.
