The first tasting of 2 drams with approx. 3cl each and about 20 minutes each in the glass, immediately after opening the bottle.
The whisky smells malty and of damp soil. There is also a note of light polish with medium-aged leather. He can't hide his sweetness, but I can't explain it, the former smells are too strong.
The taste is malty and sweet at first. There are also mushrooms on moist soil. I still can't exactly pinpoint the origin of the sweet. At most, an apricot will come through as a fruit. The 48% start with fresh ginger. He doesn't need more percentages, although he doesn't look too young. I would probably have put it blindly in the region of 6-10 years, but maybe also in the region of 8-10 years.
The aftertaste is rather short and without a lasting taste. At best, the sweetness paired with the spiciness lasts for a moment.
A nice whisky with a good PLV, but nothing more.
