    Not even close to cask 34. Has some herbal character but too much wood influence

    Blenders Glass.
    Unlike its sister barrel # 34, there is a strong youthfulness here - the mash aroma does not want to leave for a long time, even after adding water. A sad picture in the scent.
    The taste is brighter and more explosive, dried dates, figs, prunes, raisins with almonds, wet oak and tobacco.
    The finish is long-lasting, firm, woody, with notes of tobacco and a soldier's leather belt.
    The whole picture is spoiled by the nose - I recommend prolonged aeration in a wine decanter.
    Barrel 33 is noticeably weaker than barrel 34.

    Young, simple, strong ... ok, whisky for lovers of sherry, but with alcohol, the main thing is stronger, hmm ...
    Ok, water helps, but only for the nose .... why am I here? (

    The whisky was very closed when I just opened the bottle. Heavy sherry tones were predominant. Let the dram stand for fifteen minutes with a few drops of water. Then the whisky really opened up.

    Fragrance: Tobacco, sherry, currants, earth, hay, strawberry, cherries, dark chocolate, wood, milk, scorched wood
    Taste: Heavy sherry, red fruit, sweet salmiak, liquorice, cloves, salty, peppery.
    Finish: Licorice, salty salmiak, fresh tobacco.

    This is right up my alley. It's a christmas dinner in a glass. Roast beef with red fruit sauce, or pepper sauce, which even one you prefer, they're both present. Some mushrooms, nutmeg. The dessert is also accounted for. Thick dark chocolate sauce with nutty cake and some gingerbread and warm strawberries. Love it.
