Off to a spicy start (discrete wood, white pepper, ginger), then fruits join in (dried apricots, lime, pineapple, grapefruit) and take over. Candle wax, coffee cream, currants and honey sport a well-matured and integrated profile: smooth in a good way - all the way Maltbarn style and surprisingly mature for its age. A great cask.
The palate is grassier and earthier than expected at first, then we get the sweet honey and fruit in a haystack. Summer flowers, too, and spicy elements stroll along all the way - manifold experiences of different flavour camps. Challenging and rewarding. Medium-length finish to reverberate all tones from above. Kudos!
