A new Oloroso Sherry barrel was filled for the first occupancy. This barrel gave the whiskey a basic character of dried fruit and raisins.
A burnt-out apple cider barrel was used for the second occupancy. This complemented the character and gave the whiskey a differentiated aroma.
As a result, the fruity character is surrounded by a light smoke and rounded off by fine tart aromas. This spicy, full-bodied whiskey with a beautiful aftertaste was only created by merging these very contrasting types of aroma.
