On the palate a delicate oily texture delivers more of the tropical notes with pineapple, banana and coconut marzipan, before the balancing citrus, chalk and eucalyptus creep in. Subtle herbal smoke and honey on the finish, along with toffee, lemon cake and coconut cream.
A warm and tropical dram, with a particularly impressive nose and enough mineral and herbal depth to keep you on your toes, offering rewarding complexity. That said it's a softly spoken dram, so requires some time and patience with it. In terms of bourbon cask profiles, it's reminiscent (for me anyway) of some '88-'92 Littlemill, 90's Glenburgie, and the more fruity 90's Ben Nevis bottlings (and of course, clynelish ;)...)
