Whisky Reviews for Lochside 1981 TWA
4 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 89.06 points
- A very good old whisky, but I have not yet identified the character of the distillery, which makes it hard to stay printed in my head (which was not the case of my first Littlemill, for example)
Whisky n ° 1218
My first Lochside, so I have no reference.
Intense - aggressive limit, sometimes, it is also very generous on the caramel and the cooked fruits, everything being melted perfectly.
With a little water, it is a little more austere.
Mouth consistent with the nose for aromas. Intense, fragrant and mellow.
Decent. Slightly exotic with water.
- typical fruity-spicy Lochside nose: a bit of alc, strawberry.
On the palate: soft, tingling sweet and again sweet (Kandies) spicy with distinctly beautiful barrel flavors. IMHO something simple but tasty.
- Very good Lochside - especially the nose is superb. Recommended.
Starts fruity on oranges, orange blossoms, apricots and mangos. Then there is vanilla and rice pudding as well as grassy notes. Harmonic and beautiful nose close to perfection.
Warming with notes of orange cake, beeswax, green tea and spicy notes of ginger and white pepper. Apricots and mangos contribute to a nice fruityness. Very tasty.
Long on spicy notes and green tea.
