- Full aroma. Simply delicious. Orange, peat (subtle) and fruit. Sherry felt little. Rather rounding off. Great whisky.

Worth getting if you can find it at the right price at auction.
Reminds me of some Port Ellen but not as refined. The peat is evident and so is the sherry. I also get Tar, brine and a little mint.
More kick than I was expecting but very good with it and also smooth. I get faint hints of blood orange, lemon, slight liquorice taste and treacle toffee but the very dark kind. I also get hints of strong mint like when you had a trebor extra strong mint 5 minutes earlier and your palate is still fresh from it.
Quite long, smooth peaty sweet finish
- Colour: Very dark amber
Nose: Beachside bonfire, cherries, nutmeg, cigar box.
Palate: Crispy bacon, peat, mixed forest berries, cloves and a mild version of the signature pepper and “chili catch”.
Finish: Very long, fruity and smoky
Overall: Many peated malts have a distinct “bacon nose”, not this one. Instead it has the strongest taste of bacon I have ever experienced in a whisky. I love bacon, and I love this whisky.

Peat smoke, sea salt, a little peppery, fruity and caramel. With water adds an oak wood note and the peat smoke increases.
Strong, complex, a little salt. A mix of dark fruit and spices.
Long, warm and very aromatic.
