Whisky Reviews for Caperdonich 1972 DT

1 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 89.75 points

  1. markjedi1 scored this whisky 89 points Connoisseur

Delicious Caper with clear wood influences, but all within limits. Very
    quaffable!
    • Nose
The nose is succulent! Mandarin, mirabelle, oranges, mango, hints of
white chocolate. Nicely waxy as if from furniture polish. Hints of oxo, the
vegetable broth. A very good start. After a few moments, marzipan kicks in.
    • Taste
Slightly oily and silky soft on the palate. Very spice from the start,
though. Cinnamon, nutmeg and even some saffron. Powerful. Midpalate the fruit
comes out. Jam of mirabelle and mango. Acacia honey. Very assertive.
    • Finish
The finish is very long on honey and licquorice. Mildly drying at the
      death.
