A soft and serene dram, the aroma evolved with time and water. The unctuous palate continued from nosing is just perfectly clicked with the characters of peat and oily. Ashes and salts lend incredible energy to the end of palate resulting a very well balanced finishing.

Clean and rigid evocative redolent. The initial nose offers a peat, smoke, tar, salty and citrusy lift. Enveloping of all these ingredients, the earthy peat brings out great balance. The later part continues with malted barley, chocolates, galangal, ginger and strong notes of fermentation alongside with lime and lemon aromas. Allowed 15 minutes to breath and drops of water added, the nose develops notes of spice such as cinnamon, cardamon and peppercorn. Then, becoming increasing fruity and floral, it lingers with a smoky peat which is now more softer and brighter and notes of soil and ashes.

Palate: Rich, creamy and oily on arrival. The rich and very delicately chocolate notes from the nose attack quickly becomes more powerful, and by now revealing an oily and much more richer peat. This oily, long and energetic opening is powerful and coats the taste buds throughout. On the mid-palate, citrus fruits refreshes the palate and gradually it becomes salty and gingerly. Later, a pleasant note of vanilla, nuts and sweetness completely envelopes the palate. With water added brings out a handful of citrus fruits, black fruits, sea breeze, oyster and smoked bacon play a essential role in creating a particularly harmonious end to the palate.
    • Finish

Long and well balanced. The combinations of peat, ash, smoke, citrus fruit, spices, chocolate and nuts that lingers from nosing part continues to shine here. A finish that is also slightly honeyed and jammy. The retro nasal brings out the sweetness, ashes and smokiness of Caol Ila. The empty glass in peaty, smokey, barbecued, ashy and spicy.

Peppered lemon honey buttered codfish. Coriander, thyme, and a hint of sourdough yeast.

Lime, pandan leaves, lemons, mandarin oranges, orange zest from its peel, desiccated coconuts.

Long and dry. But not much happens here thereafter.
