Very maritime nose, algae and flotsam on the beach. Slight tar notes. Dates and figs, walnut. A little more banana in the background. With a little water, a nice vanilla scent rises from the glass.
Ashy maritime start, algae chips. Nice blend of sea water and dried fruits, berries and ash. Vanilla and dried fruits.
With a little water and time in the mouth, add a little lime.
Rather dry, medium length, subtle dried fruit.
89-90 / 100
A caol ila not so tangy and citrus fruity, but rather a strong maritime one. Is another side of the distillery, and a damn tasty whisky.
Depending on the form of the day for me already 90/100 worthy, almost tempts to award half points.
