Color: Dark amber, quite bodied Aroma: Shirley, with some bubble gum, sweet wheat, occasional picking, raisins, grassy notes, vanilla, cream Palate: The entrance is the sourness of citrus, followed by some slightly bitter orange peel, Shirley, with a bit of herbal taste, chocolate bitter Finish: Medium bodied wine, with some cocoa bitterness, wheaty sweetness, and nutty flavour. The throat is a little dry.
A medium-bodied but heavy oil-filled Shirley bucket, a darker-colored Glendronach, rich in flavor but with some irritating bubble gum when first touched. There are some tannins behind the entrance, perhaps too deep into the barrel.
