  12. Dre73 scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

Had this one in a blind tasting, and a remarkable one for sure. I doesn't happen to me that much to encounter a whisky that is so much dominated by just plain woodsmoke, really like hanging very close to a bonfire. Since I really like that aroma, I also really enjoyed this whisky, very pleasant.
The finish is only a little less intense than nose and body, but overall a very good one.
    • Nose
      87 87
Very smoky, a lot of woodsmoke, sweet smoke, a touch of vanilla, no alcohol punch at all.
    • Taste
      88 88
Sal ammoniac at first, licorice, ash with a sweet note. Again a lot of bonfire- or woodsmoke, caramel. Thick structure, a bit sparkling, but overall: woodsmoke.
    • Finish
      86 86
Again the wood- and bonfiresmoke dominates, ash, full taste still, not too long, far away some sweetness as well.

  14. marcusjang scored this whisky 79 points Expert Senior

Sorry, while I do see some potential in the malt, the bottle in the current state simply feels too immature for me.

As InchDairnie came to operation in December 2015, the content of this bottle is 3 to 5 years old. I have to say it feels like it's on the younger end for me. The metallic tanginess hinders me from truly enjoying the malt, although I might be on the sensitive side for such notes.
    • Nose
Metallic, caramel, bonfire smoke, faintly medicinal, generic fruits
    • Taste
Generic fruits, metallic, almost sore in the mouth, raw garlic, ashy, bonfire, oily texture
    • Finish
Bonfire, tobacco, metallic tang, average in length
