Whisky Reviews for Balmenach 2008 HSD

- Looks like a rebottling/relabeling of this one: https://www.whiskybase.com/whiskies/whisky/141792/balmenach-2008-hb
- Direct comparison with 141792. Randomly identical key data. But this one is nowhere near as good as the HB's.
Starts with glue and treated Hokz. Icing sugar and musty cellar air. Behind it sour cherries and red currants. Marzipan joins it. A dry instant lemon tea note follows.
But smells somewhat watered down in comparison.
Soft, sweet start. Then the peppery one again. Plus more woody bitterness. Anise and a tea-like taste. Somehow sour, dry and bitter.
Another artificial taste. With some juniper berries. The colleague also has something diluted in terms of taste.
Medium length. Slightly creamy. Then it becomes drier and more bitter. In addition, a little citric acid.
