- light, fresh and fruity summer whiskey without corners and edges.
bright apples and lemons; a slight smoky note is there; the alcohol is very well integrated; very fresh with a slightly tart note; Cereals and a little corn; with time come chocolate and raisins
slightly creamy; spicy and tart; with vanilla and oak; again bright apples; Watermelon and tangerine; a little chocolate and raisins
short to medium length; spicy; it stays nice and sweet on the palate; the alcohol is easily noticeable; a little chocolate; At the end the oak presses briefly again
- A 3cl sample. Interesting nose but the palate let it down. Quite disappointing as I've been wanting to try this for a while.
Malty, grassy, earthy with no artificial caramelised nose like the JW Black or Double Black. Some citrus notes(mainly lemon), pecan nuts, mild oak, slight mocha note.
With water - lighter on the nose.
Spice, oak, some bitterness.
With water - woody, ashy, a little sweetness.
Medium, spice, bitter oak, a slight fruity sweetness at the very end,
With water - a little wood smoke, very ashy.
- Subtle and beautifully balanced.
Full, mellow and elegant. It starts quite restrained. Tangerine, soft chewy fruitiness with apricot jam. Smoky seaside aromas and a custard creaminess and baked apple/ginger with water. Phew.
Soft with good silky/waxy mouthfeel. Cooked apple then heathery smoke. Superb balance.
- These 4 different Single Malt Whiskies represent the key components of Johnnie Walker Green Label:
