Whisky Reviews for The Singleton of Auchroisk 10-year-old

  1. Magnus Hillman scored this whisky 83 points Expert Senior

Not bad at all. I really like the nose and the palate, however the finish is disappointing. Bottled at 40%, well it so so. Could have been so good at higher ABV, without chill filtration.

    • Nose
Interesting nose, definitely its own characteristics. Old fabric (textile), slush puppie, organic solvent and basett wine gums. Red apples and crisp bread.
    • Taste
A cold delivery, crisp and fresh with peppered oak. A second wave replaces the first with sweet apples, licorice and bubble gum.
    • Finish
The finish is short and a bit grainy. All the flavors disappear at once.

  2. Tothemorrow scored this whisky 80 points Member Senior

Too light bodied for me. The synthetic taste is offputting. Nothing i would buy
    • Nose
Closet, apples, solvent, hay, pears, esters
    • Taste
Sweet, crisp bread (knäckebröd), more esters, synthetic, hints of spices, some oak, grain
    • Finish
      Short-medium
