Yeah, that would be a bottle that I would buy for around € 100, but even the £ 160 in the Bunna Shop are really over the top. It's good that I have enough supplies ;-)
It meets expectations, the icing on the cake, which would then justify a purchase at any price, is missing.
    • Nose
Sweet !, candied yellow fruit, some honey, freshly sliced mirabelle plum, light acidity, plus a not too intrusive smoke that brings a light spice, nice, but I also have to think of a dessert cream or cake filling, creamy, ground hazelnuts, there could be I smell it for hours
    • Taste
Intense start, creamy, smoke, slightly spicy, almost sticky, ganache, sweet, honey, Hanuta, there are the hazelnuts, roasted aromas are added more and more, you have to look for fruit, but it is there in the form of rather ripe apricots with neat Sweetness, therefore hardly any acid
Water makes it smoother and even more dessert-like
    • Finish
Sweet, the smoke is ashy and covers the mouth, this creates a dry counterpart to the sweetness, nutty, the smoke holds up well and then dominates the back

  2. Archer scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

The Sauternes finish doesn't look superimposed, but seems to blend in very well. A fine mòine that does not hit with smoke.
    • Nose
      87 87
Free flowing peat smoke with a cold note. A brew of green leaves, with freshly cut green grapes, pineapple and lemon. Fresh cut grass. Has a maritime effect in places with salty sea spray and marine diesel.
    • Taste
      87 87
The (mild) peat smoke looks warmer on the tongue. Very pleasant and creamy start, soft. Fine herbal mixture, block malt, yeast dough, dark chocolate, nougat, marzipan. It dries quickly, giving it dry wood and leather notes.
    • Finish
      86 86
Medium length and very dry. Still that pleasant smoke-dry-wood note, hardly any green notes, cocoa powder, pepper.

    Nose:
Fresh wine, grapefruit, and strong smokiness.

    Mouth:
Wine acidity, wet cellar and cask wood, fungus and a bit of bonfire-coal. Not much complex (still nicely layered though) but very pleasing and drinkable.

    Finish:
Old dry bookshelf, warmed up with sunlight, strong fresh leather book covers. Tasty and very long!

I like this one a lot, except the price point. If it would be 100 GBP, I would buy myself a whole case!
