A delicacy that drinks itself. Excellent daily dram.
    • Nose
Very nice nose on hazelnut and butter on hot brioche. It's delicious, chocolatey. On aeration there is a rancio side, even rivesaltes, a little sweetness that could have made me believe in a barrel of wine blind. Everything stays fresh. Big sherry but sweeter than usual.
    • Taste
Flattering and ultra-gourmet palate. Very chocolaty, very woody, very on dried fruits. We totally forget that the juice is very young, we only smell barrel, very sherry, but in a good way. On the other hand, this maderized side, porto/rivesaltes is very present. Sweetened balsamic vinegar.
    • Finish
The finish is woody on the roasted hazelnuts, the chocolate becomes bitter when the scents die at the back of the throat.

Simply sublime. One of the best modern sherry bombs I've ever had. Almost like a high quality cream sherry. The dirtiness may be off-putting for some, but for me it serves to add complexity.

If I had to complain, I just wish the palate and the finish lasted longer. However with the shorter finish ending on a slight minty note is much better than longer finish with off-notes. For what it says on the label and what the bottle cost me, these complaints are simply grasping at straws.
    • Nose
Intense sherry, coffee flavoured candy, medjool dates, cinnamon rolls, sweet liquorice sticks, mulled wine, orange zest
    • Taste
Orange zest, mulled wine, liquorice, cola, whole milk-like texture, cinnamon, slight meat & hint of brine
    • Finish
Cinnamon, some spices, Oloroso nuttiness, dark chocolate, moderately long, ends slightly minty

Not easy, but very entertaining. A dram to fight and enjoy.

Dirty style. Notes of cognac, the smell of an old church, sweet and winey sherry. Some cardboard, water bag (rubber) and a hint of liquorice in the back. Wow!! Water adds some nice cherry notes and a faint minty note. Much easier with water, but I prefer the dram neat.
    • Taste
      88 88
Sherry, dry, nutty, burnt cake. Still cognacish (not konyagi)
    • Finish
      88 88
Bitter, clove and spicy. Cough syrup. Long for such a youngster.
