Whisky Reviews for Glenallachie 2008 SV
3 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 87.18 points
- A difficult allachia. Not mainstream. The alcohol pushes mightily. More pleasing with water, 1 point more (as rated). Dried fruits, earthy.
- Sherry monster, sweet tooth will definitely come in. For me, too much with sherry, the base is hammered, for which the score is lowered by a couple of points.
Bright sherry, sugary. Figs, Prague cake, licorice syrup, light basement dampness.
Sweet, tart. Fondant candy, figs, overripe grapes, a little oak.
Long, generally duplicating aroma and taste.
Sherry, sweetness, dark chocolate, the alcohol is well integrated, raisins, dried fruits, oak, candied brown sugar
Subtle sweetness, light spiciness, chocolate, dried fruits, oak
Sweet, oak, dried fruits, becoming drier, medium to long
