in short. It's delicious. Even if there is a bit of label fraud for me, since I personally didn't notice much from the sherry cask. But it tastes very good. Despite the more than 61%, it is still drinkable on its own. A nice bourbon cask like nose with obvious fruit influence and sweetness. I find the bottling very successful. You can also buy them for just under € 119.
    • Nose
A good portion of vanilla greets you the first time you sniff it. Also a lot of honey sweetness at the beginning, which also turns into powdered sugar after a while. First green and yellow ripe apples, which with more air and oxygen turn into apricots, yellow grapes and some honeydew melon. Very fine interesting fruit aromas. Slight freshness, like a delicate menthol note in the nose - this is where the high percentages come into play. Actually a very nice bourbon nose. From the 1st fill sherry influence I notice little or nothing in the smell. With water, the fruit comes into its own even more. The vanilla/honey note also increases. Very nice!
    • Taste
Intense sweet and creamy mouthfeel right from the start. Immediately a lot of fruit notes, primarily melon and apricot. The alcohol pushes nicely. Strong ginger, pepper influence after the sweetness. Good balance of sweet and spicy components despite the alcohol power. With water, the taste also becomes more harmonious in terms of alcohol strength. The sweetness goes back a bit, there is some oak to it. The fruitiness is still there.
    • Finish
Sweet and fruity finish. Barrel influence with beautiful aromatic oak. A bit bitter at the end, but more like grape seeds you accidentally bite through than espresso or dark chocolate with a high cocoa content. Very nice long finish and the fruit stays and stays.
