In the nose, the slightly sour, vinous note comes to the fore immediately. Felt before the peat. Smoke and wine often go very well, but peat tends to take a back seat in this context. In the further the nose becomes a little strenuous, there are notes of burned plastic and already a very strict note, which certainly comes from the peat. A nose that sometimes pleases, sometimes not so.

In the mouth, however, there is a nice play of aromas between wine and peat, slightly peppery, sweet and sour, wine with lemon, clear notes of peat smoke. The barrel shows its dry, astringent influence here as well.

The finish is long, peaty, the sour wine note always resonating. The dry barrel pulls your mucous membranes together, but in the end a nice long finish.
