Kitten and Dylan are reconcilable. As expected, it is not unpleasant to drink, and it is very good to accompany meals or make it. At least it's easy to drink.

Relatively light performance, but still belongs to the high and low fresh flower and fruit flavor, the downside is such a low alcohol content, but it smells a bit too much

I think the body of the wine itself is online, it has enough oily feeling, and at the same time it is not thin, and the watery feeling is not obvious; the flavor is a bit single, just malt and flavor, the fruity flavor is very weak, and there is not much other expression.
    • Finish
      81 81
Short to medium, honey and simple sweet, slightly bitter. acceptable performance.

The weakest of all JW Origin. The scent is as if the whiskey is sour, the taste is fruity and floral with malt and a slight sweetness (caramel), and the finish is fruity and floral. I probably won't buy it anymore.

being based on Clynelish and Teaninich, this does deliver what you would expect, an easy to drink Highland dram, with some soft honey and waxy notes of Clynelish.

i have had independent Clynelish of about the same age that delivered less than this for a higher price

Highland Blended Malt Whiskey at 42%

The Johnnie Walker Black Origins series is a special interpretation among the Black Label bottlings. Only whiskeys from one of the four whiskey regions Lowlands, Speyside, Highlands and Islay were used for the four whiskeys. The bottlings also capture the character of the respective region. Highlands Origin is made from single malts from the Highlands region, based on Clynelish and Teaninich whiskeys.

    Way more 'Flatlands' than 'Highlands'.
I imagine this is the result when a masterblender employed by one of the industry's giants is trying to avoid the worst while trying to work around a marketing commitee's idea with a selection of contemporary 2nd choice, undermatured and mediocre casks.

Inoffensive and with only minor flaws, but also immature, featureless, uninspired and utterly pointless.

    One dram note.
    • Nose
some pears, some apples, a little caramel, hints of warm copper and cheap musky deodorant spray, traces of oranges and blossoms, direct but delicate.
    • Taste
some red apple, hints of cardboard, traces of waxiness, thin and light body, very shallow, zero depth.
    • Finish
hints of cardboard & cork coaster, traces of apples and caramel, a little spirity, very swift.
