- Member " Brother" sell it for 400 euros! Stupid guy ...
- I'm not really that big of an Octomore fan, but this one is a grenade. Really wow. What flavors and then this smoke. That is an announcement. Shit ... the price, but it's really an experience and the best ADoS I've had so far. Young boy who is fun. With riot and action, the aromas dance on the tongue and rejoice on the palate :-) A finish as if painted. Long, intense and simply beautiful. I am in love ;-)
- A pleasant octomore with a refreshing sweetness. The smoke doesn't kill me, but the whisky isn't as complex as I'm used to from many other Octomore bottlings. The whisky is really good, but I've also enjoyed Octomore bottlings that blew me away because of their complexity. Unfortunately, that didn't happen here. 85 points.
"Smoking hay, burnt honey. An incredibly sweet vanilla. Lemon zest. With a little time, the whisky becomes more sour and the sweetness decreases a little. Then the whisky changes again. As if you were entering a cowshed. Great!"
Water: It's getting cooler. More intense hay. "
"The start is sweet at first, but intense smoke comes right after. Dried grapes, glowing coal. The mouthfeel is juicy and full. Intense, yes. Alcoholic, no. A subtle bitterness spreads, it increases in the aftertaste. A bit sticky - sweet soot remains.
Water: Not much changes, overall a bit softer. The bitterness goes back a little. "
Long, lemon-like smoke, a noticeable bitterness.
- Tastes delicious, but unfortunately the typical Octomore character is almost nonexistent. Tastes more like a delicious, fruity Caol Ila, but unfortunately you have to search hard for the Octomore here. :-(
Too expensive for me, I get the same flavor profile at Caol Ila for less than 100 €
