Interestingly, the type of smoke doesn't remind me of Bowmore, I would have guessed other Islay distilleries blindly. He is of course more cautious than with them, but still quite intense. In addition, sherry sweetness and a few herbs. Otherwise there is not much to discover. In the mouth there is also woody spice and memories of incense.

Overall, not a particularly exciting smoky malt. You can get something like that for significantly less euros from Scotland.

I don't like the malt because it has too much smoke, especially on the palate
    it takes time
    be careful with water
    • Nose
Smoked ham, sherry, raisins, smoke, light oak, light sulfur, sweetness, light old / dark malt, light cherry, waffle with vanilla cream
with water: less smoke, slightly nutty, vanilla, nougat, caramel

from 1920s: sweeter, sparkling, chocolate ~ 70%, red fruit, a great note that I can't name, later vanilla
with water: very earthy (moist earth), slightly mushrooms, rubber
    • Taste
      oily and strong
Oak, spicy, ham, light workshop, light sherry, smoke, bitter, a note that I can't name

with water: softer, more ham, light flat file
    • Finish
      medium to long
spicy, tart, slightly sherry, smoke, with time ham comes out slightly

      with water: very tart

Astringent, slightly furry on the tongue

2021-08-22: Downgrade from 87 to 85 points. Somewhat bubbly and one-dimensional.
2021-05-16: In terms of spirit, it reminds us of Bunnahabhain, although it is more pleasing by adding water - but it loses some of its aroma
    • Nose
      84 84
distinct smoke, cookies, minimal sherry, not too sweet, herbaceous, slightly vanilla
    • Taste
      86 86
shallow smoke, strong nuttiness, not so sweet sherry influence, earthy-smoky
    • Finish
      84 84
some smoke with sweet and tart chocolate
