It's decent but not super-strong, maybe this is not one you'll want to smell more than drink - it is a nice nose, but is rather subtle in intensity, water or not.
It is fairly herbal, maybe rosehip and violets - sometimes I get a wiff of diced parsley but usually not. It is more gingery and citrusy than herbal generally.
Worth it specifically for the taste, in my opinion. Does not taste much like how it smells - it isn't a fruity/citrusy type and yes it has that sought-after musty cloak over it, like an old library book tinting everything else - this is at a medium musty level, it's there but not dominant. Nice supple thick mouthfeel.
It tastes to me quite strongly of a cola type note (which I quite like), and is not quite a malt bomb but it's pretty well-represented on that front. I might also phrase that as bubblegum or pepto-bismol. As it develops, it turns into a spice bomb - cinnamon, clove, ginger, nutmeg.
A bit short in length but not too much, maybe medium-short generally. It's a bit bitter, like citrus rind, and you get a trail of woodiness although it is not a particularly great one.
