I would never have guessed it was whisky!
I thought I knew whisky a little, but I was wrong! I again lost all orientation, not a single familiar note!
    It's shock whisky! :)
However! The bard's profile, following through the whole body, is an obvious off-note and manifests itself especially sharply in taste! It's a pity, but the profile itself is very bright and saturated.
I will remember this whisky forever! I think the low ratings are unreasonable!

    • Nose
Americano, sherry notes, dark chocolate, amaretto, halva, vinasse, grassy notes of mezcal and propolis.
Second nose: the aroma calms down, becomes more whisky-recognizable - citruses, spices, leather. There is also something of a rotten raw barrel, like in Hellyers Road Pinot Noir.
      Saturation 8 out of 10
    • Taste
Peanut halva, burnt sour coffee, amaretto and its cherry profile, bard, spices, woodiness, salt, earthy chaipuer.
There is also something of a rotten raw barrel, like in Hellyers Road Pinot Noir.
      Sweetness 8 out of 10
      Saturation 10 out of 10
    • Finish
Amaretto and cherry pit, barda, peanut halva, licorice, pu-erh tea. Knits with woody tannins and dries the mouth!
      Protracted, almost endless!
In the bottom line, it gives a complete feeling as if you had just smoked!

The aroma took me toward funky fruits and Southeast Asian deserts while the palate pulled in a dry, earthy direction. It brought musty garden sheds full of cobwebs, unused clay pots, and mushrooms to mind. I was pleased to see someone else on whisky base thought this reminded them of a dank basement, which certainly seems in line with my experience. I am not sure I got the chicken satay sauce that Cadenhead included in their tasting notes, but perhaps that was the same notes that seemed like walnut shells to me; I could easily see that being peanut shells, at the very least.

    Mental Image: Basement Mushroom Kingdom
    • Nose
Sweet, malty, and a bit funky. Musty dried fruits and ginger rolled in wet beach sand; the aroma was fruity yet infused with slightly salty mineral notes. A bit of tropical funk developed with fermented guava, mango, and longan. Hints of funky wine and wood sugars left the impression of cendol: a cold Malaysian dessert with pandan-sweetened jelly noodles, coconut milk, sweet beans, and palm sugar.
    • Taste
Medium-bodied and funky with fruit, earth, and wood. Dehydrated shiitake and wood ear mushrooms flooded the palate with a bright fruit punch and lemon-lime soda. The earthy mushrooms shifted to musty basements, cardboard boxes, and wet chopsticks with a stale bitterness. Grainy at times with rice crackers, toasted herbs, licorice, stale tobacco, and crushed walnut shells.
    • Finish
      Lingering dryness and tobacco.

    • Nose
An old damp basement in which various products are dried, stored and stored in anticipation of winter. Autumn leaves, burnt plum jam, a little varnish and black tea leaves.
    • Taste
Harsh, smoky, smoky, with chocolate-glazed prunes, raisins and dusty notes.
    • Finish
Sharp, plum, slightly smoky, medium duration.
