My first Glentauchers, but not my last. A 12 year old Ex-Sherry cask matured whisky for a decent price. Independantly botteld by Duncan Taylor for his Dimensions series. Never disappoints me.
-
Floral and fruity (plums, orange, cherries), also brown sugar, caramel, honey, tobacco, leather. Typical sherry cask maturation. Very engaging nose.
-
Sherry, oak wood, coffee, again the cherries. Creamy, the 54,4% ABV are well integrated. I prefer it with 1/2 teaspoon of water.
-
Sweet & fruity in the beginning, then espresso, tobacco, mild tannins, pepper. Quite long.
