It's like being transported to a beach. Burning beach wood, sand, seaweed and sea water, mint gum, and Vaseline (or maybe fish or fish oil). On the nose I got beef jerky, but not in the palate. I am quite fond of this one.

  9. MrDvorak scored this whisky 90 points Expert Senior

The aroma is a crazy jelly from pine needles, rotten lemons and grilled salmon. In an oily flavor comes fried mackerel with sea salt and seaweed. The finish is long, tart, with the comfort of a fireplace room and sea salt.

Fresh, and at the same time rotten fish and mineral malt, sweet, very unexpectedly interesting release.

    RATING: 90pts - | 90 - 92 (A-) → Excellent | - Here the golden pantheon begins.

    • Nose
Fresh, just felled spruce that you brought from the cold to the hall with the fireplace. Lemon, sea and iodine, a lot of marine, even Atlantic tones.
    • Taste
The taste is fatty, mackerel and Scottish salmon. Baked apple with cinnamon. It is clear that the smoke.
    • Finish
Bright, sweet, smoky, fishy. Iodine, algae, the coastal smell after the long ocean low tide that you can smell when you inhale deeply.

From memory compared with Caol Ila 13 Maltbarn (WB179466). GM loses - not so thick, sharper ... 22-21,5-21,5-22

    Bottlers tasting notes:
    • Nose
Cured meat aromas are balanced by green apples and autumnal spice.
    • Taste
Stewed fruit and honeycomb flavours combine with cracked black pepper.
    • Finish
Full body, with lingering bonfire embers.
