  1. LordBellamy scored this whisky 85 points Expert Senior

it was in the barrel for a good 14 years, and then in the bottle for another 20 years until I tried it today. A very average whisky - on the one hand no bad notes, it is good to drink and also has a little OBF. But it is also nothing special and special. Simply a reasonable, rock-solid whisky.
    • Nose
      86 86
Ndecent fruit aromas, malt, honey, some wax (OBF?) Oak flavor, grassy, slightly maritime / salty
    • Taste
      85 85
Honey, malt, some fruit, even light floral notes, oak and subtle wax notes
    • Finish
      84 84
short to medium length, fruit, light oak, honey, some salt

  2. Abadon05 scored this whisky 85 points Expert Senior

Nice wax notes that indicate an old whisky.
Light berry notes. Tasty and makes you want more.
    Somewhat dry in the finish.
However, there is a lack of depth and complexity.

  3. Calmar scored this whisky 89 points Connoisseur

Very attractive whisky, addictive, dense, with a good, but not outstanding depth and palette of derivatives, there is some catchy wholeness, harmony, very strong, and also adds to the development.
    • Nose
Restrained, moist, raw boards, lemon peel, floral notes, freshly cut grass, light mineral shades - stucco, wet pebbles; sweet fruit tones - red apples, pears, green bananas, mangoes; Montpensier Lollipops.
    • Taste
Soft, dense, sweet woody-grain notes, pepper wave, creamy tones - toffee, boiled condensed milk; nuts, mineral-metallic shades, tobacco.
    • Finish
Spicy, refreshing, oak, herbal notes, grain, butterscotch, fried nuts, leather goods, tobacco.

  4. Gordon84 scored this whisky 86 points Expert Junior

I am fortunate to have two bottles of it. I opened one of them.

On the nose, I am offered a bit of dusty oak, peaches, apricots, a little soap, hay, bananas, apples, walnuts, sour cherries, sea buckthorn, gooseberries, lemon balm and quince jelly

First of all very mild and sweet, the light fruits are present at the beginning, behind it I find some oak with subtle spices, very tasty and tasty, plus a hint of soap with a nice citrus freshness.

In the finish there is now a bit of bitter / dusty oak with dry fruits and a bit of sea buckthorn, very fruity and pleasantly light enjoyment for me. I'm very excited about this Glenglaussaugh!
