on the nose it smells like a really creamy light bourbon, cedar wood, pine nuts, a bag of fresh sawdust, yellow plum and a little mango.
Neat this has some depth, wow quite syrupy, a fight between some slightly bitter and more sweet white fruits.
There is possibly a hint of peat, but basically this is a basket of stewed fruit and love it.
Lets see what a little water does.
Well water has released some fruit pastille sweetness and a nice spice note.
A pepper note appears on the finish and the fruit lingers.
This is what whisky base is good for, many times I try whisky with 93/94/95 point averages and my score is the 80's the opposite is true here, this has an 85 point average yet I think it is a 90 pointer minimum :)
For the right price I would definitely buy a bottle of this
a lovely finish make no mistake
