Great layers of (dried) fruits. Raisins, dates and sultanas complements perfectly with figs and plums. But there are more fruity notes. Some red sour fruits like cranberries with unripe cherries. Followed by a note of apple juice. Now I smell scents of balsamico and sherry. At the end darker notes like chocolate and a little hint of nutmeg.
Way more roasty and darker notes than the nose. I immediately taste old oak complemented by lots of spices like nutmeg, cloves and cinnamon. Next roasty notes like black coffee, cocoa powder and dark chocolate. Lovely notes of old leather and old sherry. Sweeter now with notes of coffee liquor and thick syrup. There are also fruity notes saved for the end. Raisins, figs and dates.
Medium-long. The old oak stays for some time with dark chocolate, coffee beans and cinnamon. Some raisins, dark cherries and syrup too.
- Typical sherried whisky. A lot of light red fruits, cherries, cassis. Some hints of sugar sweetness in the finish. Pleasant dram.
Very fruity, red fruits, cassis, cherries, winegums. Quite some alcohol. Apple sirup.
Quite smooth now, a little sparkling. Red fruits, cherries. Later on it gets heavier. Siruppy. Honey. Red apples.
Still some sparkle, red fruits again, cassis, cherries. Quite long. Far away some sugar sweetness.
- Very drinkable and good
Very nutty, walnut, wooden cabinet, little brown sugar, dried fruits, dates, figs, little raisins, hints of leather, sherry wood, tobacco, dark chocolate, whiffs of acacia honey - not bad
Oily, creamy, little sirupy, good sweetness, more acacia honey, chocolate, toffee, sherry wood, more dried fruits, plums, prunes, raisins, little molasses, spices, cloves, cinnamon - very good
Medium long, warm, spicy, woody, more chocolate, still sweet
- dark fruits, liquorice, wormwood, very oaky, coffee, strong wood influence, not bad if you like this style
