Boozy, notes of cardboard, vegetables, some solvents or other paint thinner. Not undrinkable, but that’s not a reason to drink it for me.

Boo Doesn't work at all. UmGallen vase with old stale water, can't do anything, have used the rest to blend. Maybe caught a bad bottle. In any case, it will not last long in the opened bottle.

Brrrr.....! Cooked vegetables (read: feints) anybody? A good example for what an original bottling can be. To be fair is was about 13 EUR at the time.

  4. Ad@ scored this whisky 66 points Expert Senior

very basic, mid-week whisky, solvent, alcoholic, undefined aroma, rather blended. Not suitable for the dram get-together! Would rather use it for mixed drinks.
    • Nose
      66 66
      alcohol, solvent
    • Taste
      66 66
little aroma, rather tastes like a blended (Johnny)
    • Finish

      quickly disappeared after finish

A young, cheap and at best average malt. Blue tin can!
    • Nose
      fresh wine aromas, slightly alcoholic, grainy, malty, flat aromas;
    • Taste
in the beginning sweetness, fresh meadow herbs, malt, alcoholic, clearly young, out of round!
    • Finish
      short finish, alcoholic finish;

  6. Tom na Gruagaich scored this whisky 75 points Connoisseur

    Nothing special, but nothing unrinkable

  7. Kantenmechaniker scored this whisky 75 points Connoisseur

Since I have drunk much worse, which is now but not necessarily a compliment. To order very well. The sample I had from a blind tasting against vodka with whisky infusion, because he was the clear winner ;-)
    • Nose
Yellow fruits, light, slightly floral, also green apple, vanilla and malt, not very complex, but also not so wrong. the apple stands out the most with prolonged trimming
    • Taste
ok, here then pretty watery from the mouth feeling, in the mouth also the yellow fruits, then again clearly apple, a little oak, vanilla, quite thin overall, of course, still very youthful, does not hurt, but does not have to be
    • Finish
now very apple-like, as if you had bitten freshly pure, with time you only chew on the shell

  8. wisekyofcourse scored this whisky 72 points Connoisseur

On the nose, malt, synthetic fruit a little rotten too, a vinous side with a touch of sourness, a little old glue,
    particular!!
    • Nose
malt ,, grain, some rotten apple
    • Taste
cereals, a little floral and then that's it!

For a sociable evening playing cards or watching football ...
    • Nose
Right closed. Some malt, cereals, fruity notes (apple, pear). Something floral, some caramel, vanilla. Everything reserved, nothing stands out. Everything is superimposed by a not quite consistent alcohol note.
    • Taste
Fudge, malt, some honey sweetness and fruit. again alcoholic-mineral, not quite round. Still too young for my taste.
    • Finish
Short. Some vanilla, some fruit, getting dry.

    Body: Candyfloss.
    • Nose
      Freshly made toast. Brandy snaps.
    • Taste
Powered sugar. Turkish delight. Pistachio nuts. Banana.
    • Finish
Light middle long. Lemony balancing dryness.

As time passes, unfortunately, the taste is more and more unpleasant
    • Nose
Naked floral-fruity scent (peaches) with a little peat in the background - nothing too complex or essential
    • Taste
Flat, sweet, oily and slightly spicy flavor - dominated by woodiness and vanilla, it is also cocoa-like and at the end there is not a very pleasant bitterness
    • Finish
In reverberation slightly spicy - it is felt bitter chocolate and maybe a little bit of peat. Dozvuk is, however, quite long and has unfortunately such a diluent "tail"

  13. Volanne scored this whisky 54 points Expert Senior

Is this really a Scotch single malt? Tastes more like a low-end blend or a soulless "foreign" marketing attempt. Just bad.

    Tasted blind for whisky-distilleries.info WDTS:

    • Nose
Hardly bearable. Very heady aromas of low-end industrial candied angelica chunks from a low-end industrial candied-fruits cake. The same repulsive feeling than when accidently munching a juniper berry in a sauerkraut.
    • Taste
The same, but flat and weak (40% ?). Stale beer. Salted water. Some cheap toffee too. And still this gin-like flavours.
    • Finish
Stale Vichy water, with a very salty aftertaste.

Nose cinnamon, ginger, orange, greenery and grain. Watery and weak mouth. Alcohol is a little too much in a final where only bitter wood remains. Not terrible at all.

Mouth without interest. The nose that is not extra, far from it, is the strong point of this water, sorry, whisky.
    "Tasted" blind
    • Nose
A pastry nose, notes of fruit cake, cereals, malt. Becomes more springtime with aeration, with fruity and floral touches. This nose not intense, rather in withdrawal, and although it is not an aromatic that I usually appreciate, there it goes.
    • Taste
Uh ... what's that? Pleura ... A little malt, cereal, can be young fruits but ... well nothing in fact, no texture, no aromas, no presence ... no
    • Finish
Non-existent on very light yellow fruit notes

  20. Jean-Brice scored this whisky 76 points Expert Senior

    blind test
    • Nose
Brine, pickles, mustard, spices. As a salad dressing ...
    • Taste
slightly sweet, a little aqueous and salt
    • Finish
