    For correction only:

I have no idea where the 90 euros mentioned in the comments come from, which supposedly have to be paid for this bottling ...
It is an individual problem to feed the traders who take such prices.

The filling is / was initially available for 69.90 euros!

No rating just a thought: The Last one was around 50 EUR now they charge up to 90 EUR or let it be 80 nevermind for .5 ltr whilst it's very lovely ' white brother' is 40... are you kidding me? It's a NAS blend but yes it has colour - racism finally turned around in one industry.

Wow! This is my whiskey, smoke sherry, ham, reminiscent of a Lediag. And there is only one blended malt. But what a one. Was by far the best whiskey that evening, although single cask bottlings from Mortlach, Lediag and Dalhuaine were against it.

For the price of 70.00 EUR for a 0.5 l bottle, not exactly free, but still within the limit.

Great sherry and wood flavors. The sweetness of dark ripe berries comes through. At first you think of cherry, but then blackberry comes through. The smoke is always present but subtly in the background. It has to be like that.

Smoky ham is noticeable in the mouth. But the sweetness of the blackberry is still there. Sherry notes with a pinch of oak come through.

The finish is not forever, but it is very long. The sweet fruit aromas combine with smoke and bacon. Almost like a three-course menu. Light oak soaked in sherry appears at the end.

... forget Octomore ... liquid ham with sherry ... everything fits perfectly (if you like that) ... nice and strong too ....

An overall nice blend that is probably young (but not annoying). Not overly complex but still tasty. A good choice for friends of greasy and pleasantly tarry “dirty” notes in combination with a nice fruity sweetness. The alcohol is dangerously well integrated.

Well it is not very well balanced. The peat and the sherry clearly don't mix in this bottling. This one did not meet my taste.
    • Nose
Sherry with wood and smoke of ashes.
    • Taste
Well there is the Sherry and on the other side there is the peat. Not much more.
    • Finish
      Long and smoky

Nose: A little disappointing for the price. Reminiscent of Classic of Islay, which, however, costs a third of it.

But that reminds me of Classic of Islay. I was expecting a teaspooned Caol Ila, but it's more like a teaspooned lagavulin. Mainly because of the iodine note, which a Caol Ila does not have. The fruits that are just still there are also different, in other words: more exotic. Overall, however, the nose is very, very dry with little fruit, a lot of wood and a lot of iodine.

It looks a bit better in the mouth than the nose suggests, but still not in a way that would justify the price. In addition to what I noticed in the nose, there is also heavily smoked ham, ash and asphalt.

Finish: dry, long, furry, with iodine, even with Lugol's solution.

Conclusion: This is not the big hit. Either that or I'm too spoiled.

Nose: heavy and oily, dark fruits in syrup, greasy, some leather, some smoke, a little iodine

Palate: oily and heavy, dark fruits in syrup, greasy, some leather, light iodine, light ash

Finish: smoky, warm, dark fruits in syrup, greasy, some leather, lasts a long time

Overall view: it is good - heavy and oily, fully aromatic, something for the peat & sherry nerds. It keeps what the name promises. 88/100 or 7/10

    Shop info:

"This Islay essence captures a limited available bottling - in connection with wonderful sherry notes. Peat & Sherry Cask is a composition selected by Kirsch Import exclusively for Germany from three first fill sherry hogsheads in which the peaty Elements-of-Islay -Standard Peat matured, from which the Islay Blended Malt Scotch Whiskey flowed in only 1,400 bottles. When the cork pops, the dram reveals strong smoky notes in connection with dark, sweet berries, liquorice and grain notes as well as lingering sherry sweetness.

Nose: campfire smoke, smoker and sooty notes, then intense sherry aromas with dark grapes and berries.

Palate: Maritime notes with sweet berries, plus liquorice and some oak.

Finish: Long-lasting with grain notes, spice and mouth-filling smoke that gives way to the sweetness of the sherry. "
