I can understand if some find it a bit boring. It is a pure bourbon maturation and many probably find that too unspectacular. I don't feel that way, although this one lacks a bit of the intensity and complexity to hit 90 points. Overall a very nice malt.

The 49% is a bit too much for this glass even after 20 minutes in the blender. In Glencairn, however, the aromas are preserved and the alcohol is wonderful.
The aromas go in the light-fruity and light direction, medium-ripe apricots, ripe citrus fruits, grape juice without acid; a dry bourbon cask at the back. -
Not too sweet, here also a little more acid and a nice mouthfeel. It reminds me of a not very chilled white wine with peach aromas.
As in nosing, you can feel the age here, and that's a good thing, because this aroma profile is quickly too sharp with young malts. -
The finish is a bit tart and bitter, but in interaction with the appropriate sweetness it is good and long enough.
