The Secret Speyside shimmers mysteriously in the Premium Snifter, slightly reddish, while a multitude of thick and oily "legs" loosen from the streaks adhering to the glass wall. Strawberries and raspberries rise sweetly with a hint of citrus fruits, forest honey drips on blackberries and currants, caramel and a hint of milk chocolate exude their sweetish scent while abrasion from old lemon peel gradually moves dominantly into the foreground. A wonderfully balanced mixture of sweet fruit aromas and hints of sour citrus fruits beguiles the nose, in the meantime oily "legs" pull their endless paths back into the glass in slow motion and round off the wonderful overall picture. Back to the nose; Minimally spicy wooden elements penetrate the voluminous fruit aromas, in the background there is a pinch of crushed black pepper, the alcohol is wonderfully integrated and gradually stimulates the flow of saliva. Muted fruit and wood aromas accompany the second sip on its way over the tongue, caramelized sugar dissolves a pleasantly peppery sharpness and gently tickles the lips. Suddenly my saliva is stimulated while the grapefruit and lemon rubs mix with the mashed currants and strawberries.
