    A full and medium body.
    • Nose
Hint of the sea. Beach walk.
    • Taste
Like biting into crudités . Celery, palm hearts, artichokes ,spinach.
    • Finish

  2. WhiskyLovingPianist did not rate this whisky Connoisseur

N: Apple skin grain, malty=oaky with0 sour cream, Estery and leathery with an overall soft tannic sweetness
T: Neat - spirit led arrival and rather astringent. With water, its a rich, sweet, oily compote of bourbon fruit jams, ripe and candied fruits, tannic too and some redcurrant chocolate wood. Nice malt levels throughout and good development length.
F: Tannic fruits, quite drying and spirity finish. Sweet<savoury real cider finish
C: The action here is on the palate and its very nice too, but its certainly not a bed of roses.

    Scores a B-

    http://www.weinkenner.de/2014/clynelish-cask-strength-jma-old-masters-cask-vs-berrys-own-selection-for-lmdw-31949/ Color: white wine
Nose: Initially quite alcoholic and farmy-smoky with some peat (after five minutes breathing this constellation is almost completely gone). Now, aromas of wild honey and beeswax, delicious lemon with vanilla cream and apricot jam. Somewhat heavier, earthy notes, but also fresh bergamot - flowery-green. Class!
Taste: Creamy, waxy and round! Very salty, peppery-spicy palette with leather, humus, dry earth and ash. Elegant bourbon vanilla and malty, honeyed notes complete the taste.
Finish: Long - Lose some of the creaminess, is now rather thinner in the consistency. The aromas of powerful vanilla, lemon, pepper, dry ash and leather stick to the palate for a long time. Drying with notes of cream brittle slowly fading away.
Comment: Very interesting and varied. At a price of less than 60 euros today you do not have to think twice, right? But give this whisky a lot of time in the glass - it changes very much for the better!
    91 points (nose: 92 / taste: 91 / finish: 90)
