Pretty straightforward and in-your-face, but certainly doesn't miss to deliver for what's claiming on the label.
Peat and Sherry in a modern version, but a more than satisfactory combination with a nice sweetness. Even a little "old school note" a friend of mine detects. 10 years old still seem to make a difference to the all-to-usual NAS here...
Serge Valentin tasted another version for The Whisky Exchange and called it a "guilty pleasure". I can sign that, I'm definitely guilty of getting real, undisciplined pleasure out of this!
I'd guess Bowmore + Port Charlotte. But everybody should make his own (educated) guess.
50cl is a good measure, as there's a risk you'll tend to finish the bottle all too quickly.

Nose: Medicinal peat then spices and a side of grilled bacon and red fruits (cherry, blackberry) and finally chocolate. It's fat and delicious despite the sharp attack of the peat
Palate: the peat becomes more earthy, fatter. We go over cherry liqueur, Speculoos cream and a chocolate mocha side.
Final: It is spicy, tasty and drying. This counterbalances the lively attack on the palate.

    The ventilation does him good
